Good video, nice finds......but! I cringed each time I heard the metal trowel

scrape the bottom of the hole. I could just imagine a gouged line across

the face of a big silver coin. (That's my greatest fear in coin recovery......

accidently damaging a potentially valuable coin.) Keep up the posts.

I feel like I wasted 7 minutes of those 9 minutes. A little slow,

Thanks, Ron, for posting the English treasure laws. It does seem fair to all,

but I'm so glad I'm a Yank, as I enjoy our way of doing it: "finders keepers,

losers weepers", without the threats of punishment if you don't report

your finds.

Great finds, men. It would seem that some of these bloggers are

just non-detectorists full of jealousy. Hey, you people, if you don't like us

"yanks" get your lazy "arses" out there and find the coins yourselves.

I bought that same model (Still have it out in the garage) while stationed down in Gitmo

back in 1973-76. I paid $14.95 for it. I don't recommend cleaning any potentially

valuable coins with it, as no matter what type of cleaner you use, the coins seem to

come out pitted. It's ok for normal coins...

I found a 1944 quarter ring in a field off Chapin St., in Canandaigua, N.Y. I can see 1944 on one inside edge and "liberty" when you roll it to the opposite same side. It seems that many kids

made them during World War 2. They'd drill out the center and use a round file to proper size,

then roll...

Good video, great Supertramp. Why not use a 50-sent piece of

1/4" or 3/8" clear plastic tubing and suck the material up

from that flooded crack? Simple trick for crevicing.

I don't understand why you spend all that money buying NEW coins, when you could

easily go buy a Garrett ACE250 metal detector (lots less than what you spend on new

coinage) and go out to the suburbs, find some woods or an old park and search and

find your own coins. Not new, but you an have the ...

Hey Kurt, the next time you're up on that creekbed, check the rock (the humped one)

directly above the bigger rock you pointed out. If you had checked just under the

smaller rock's lower side, you would probably have had better luck right away. The
