About this user
I want to believe that physics explains everything, but if you take too much of a reductionist stand to experiences, and eventually come down to how atoms and subparticles interact, you miss the central point of the experience. The movement of molecules does not explain the sensation of hearing music, of seeing art, and thus says little or nothing outside of practical applications in the real world. A point that the physicalist may say to counter this point is that future physics explains everything, but we just don't know it yet. HOWEVER, this pretty much is an excuse, and is more or less what people do with religion. I respect all aspects of religion, but this one. People do not bother to learn how things work, or neglect to, and place it on God or whatever 'thing' he/she believes in. I'm in no way trouncing religion, and if you think so, then you are pretty much just stepping on my point. What I am saying altogether is that OPEN your mind PLEASE, and don't take in anything as truth; explore it, and see how it works. I used the example of sciences, because it seems to be the most widely regarded subject matter of truth. I am a spiritual person, and never would label or group myself into anything because I would concede to my own antithesis. What you should get about this is that I'm here to both promote, help and question our own humanity, because it's my own personal obligation and propensity to do so, and I firmly believe art is the way to do so. It transcends time, holds a strong intrinsic pleasure in all of us, serves a social function, and is absolute in the universe. Also, I love travel and cooking :)
