Not risky. It was a shotgun at close range. Grass and dirt as a backstop. He knew what he was doing. Saved the dude from having a pitbull lock onto him. Then any shot to kill the dog would have been very risky.

I had a Golden mix. She would sit with me on the couch and I would scratch her head for an hour straight. When I stopped she would give me a look like hey what heck! If my hand was still on her head she would throw her head up as if to say don't stop.
