"Hockey Player For Life" w/Foreword by Keith Primeau, tells the story of 'the can't miss kid' and what he learns from his best friend 'the can't play kid' about hockey and life and what it means to be a hockey player for life! Here is an exceprt from the book which is geared towards 11-15 year olds:

I learned a long time ago before I could let other things into my life...to have the opportunity and the chance to play hockey, anywhere at anytime meant the world to me. To be playing the game with my friends on the ice, in a parking lot or in someone's backyard or basement whether it was in the dead of winter or on a warm summer's night, it made me feel alive and it gave me the idea that I could do anything if I put my mind to it and worked hard enough. HOWARD SHAPIRO is a Pittsburgh based author who has done 3 Children's books. "Hockey Player For Life" will be his first foray into the YA arena. The actual cover of the book will be slightly different as the actual book publishes in Oct. 2008.
