Im from Philly. The Stylistics songs were written by a lady from Ambler,Pa. right outside of Philly. Her name was Linda Creed. She died of brain cancer at the age of 32. Such a terrible waste of life and talent. R.I.P. Linda.

I lost my mother December 3, 2011 And she LOVED this song. I'll never be able to listen to this song again without a tear in my eye for her God bless you Mom. And thank god for songwriters like Van.
