About Hot Bird TV Awards
Welcome to the YouTube channel dedicated to the HOT BIRD™ TV Awards!
The HOT BIRD™ TV Awards, promoted by Eutelsat, are a unique international prize awarding excellence in thematic satellite broadcasting in Europe.
This year's ceremony was held on 25 November in Venice at the prestigious Scuola Grande di San Giovanni Evangelista . A total of 160 TV broadcasters from 21 countries participated in the competition, entering their channel for an Award in one of 10 thematic categories : Children's, Cinema, Culture&Education, Documentaries, Fiction/General Entertainment, Lifestyle, Music, National Window, News or Sports. Awards are also assigned to the Best Programme and to the Best New Channel, launched over the past 12 months.
A red carpet was set out for channel representatives to give interviews. Here's a choice of them!
