Pepito, a young alpaca, is captured on a high plateau in the Andes. As his herd scatters, Pepito is taken down the mountainside by a group of men and forced into a truck. Alone, he travels the steep and mountainous roads to the International Airport in Lima. Upon his arrival, Pepito looks for his family and friends but they are no longer in sight! Inside the terminal, he enters a crate and is prepared for export.
Before boarding the aircraft, the sad alpaca
takes one last look at his homeland and the mountains he loves. He realizes his life will never be the same.
Within minutes, the engines roar and the plan
becomes airborne. The flight carries Pepito across the continent of South America and eight hours later, the distinguished alpaca arrives in the United States, to begin a new life.
