My name is Melissa. I'm known on youtube as "hoover4000" poster of gaither clips. I was born and raised in colorado i'm 25 years old and apart from having almost 30,000 subscribers on youtube i'm pretty normal. I'm very soft-spoken, quiet and reserved but once you get to know me i'm very goofy and funny. My mamma is my best friend, not ashamed to admit it. I care about people and what they are going through. I have always had a passion of helping others since I was little. That is a passion i've lived out through my youtube. This channel is just me. I'm not all roses. I can be over-sensitive and emotional. But I am nothing but honest about who I am and what I care about, and what you are seeing in the videos, good or bad, really is all of me, in that moment. Some will like it, some will hate it. My name is Melissa, i'm a pretty average 24 year old born and raised in a small town called Grand Junction, Colorado. When I was 14 and my parents seperated my sweet mother and I became poor overnight. I became a new christian and lost all my "friends" I thought I had. I had a lot to deal with for a 14 year old, and needed some encouragement. That's where the Gaither Homecoming tapes came in. My mother and I became addicted to them immedietly when we discovered the tapes through a relative and things were never the same. About 4 years ago I started posting gaither clips here on youtube under the name "hoover4000", to share my love of the gaithers, and most importantly with God to the world. I did not expect it to become such a success here but it did. So I kept posting, and here I am 4 years later, over 18,000 subscribers and over 100 million video views, still posting the music, and the people I love. This is my blog channel, where I share my ups and downs that we all have faced as Christians, and as people. I am in no way perfect and im not right all the time. I'm shy and insecure and sometimes too sensitive, but I try to be a sweet person and I geniunely care about people. I want to encourage the broken-hearted to keep going in any way I can, because i've been there. The Christian life, contrary to what some will try to make you believe is not always "Joyful" and "Victorious" there are moments and times of doubts, tears, and questions, just like anyone else. I know i've had my share. But I keep going, and keep trusting in God because I do not know any other way than this. I've tried to make it alone, i've done pretty much every sin you can think of. It does not work by myself, I don't have the power or strength alone. Without God, I might as well not exist. God is LOVE, which you don't hear as often as you hear "your going to hell", I wanna change that. It's important to witness but it's also equally important to let them know, YOU ARE LOVED. YOU ARE PRECIOUS. YOU ARE WANTED. Letting people know that, has become my mission in life.
