Bee petting is a wonderful way to feel closer to nature, to understand our fellow creatures better. I first heard of the concept from a book by tracker/author Tom Brown Jr., and first tried it a couple of years ago. The bees love the hyssop and mint at Sprouts community garden, and I began petting them here last year. They are just so busy in their work that they pretty much ignore me, and I don't feel I am disturbing them much, and maybe they enjoy it like I do! No fear, no problem.
