About Hoodat Lair

Currently, I've uploaded some of my old Stargate SG1 videos and I'm finally starting to complete some Doctor Who videos. So for now, that's what you'll get on my channel... Stargate and Doctor Who but there's no telling what else might strike my fancy.

Stargate, well, Jack O'Neill really, was what first got me started making fan vids. I'm a huge fan of Jack and I miss him terribly.

But... I've been a Whovian for a long time. Tom Baker was MY Doctor but to be honest I never really met a Doctor I didn't like. So in the void left by the absence of Jack O'Neill, the Doctor has been there to bring a smile.

Sadly, my real life has very little to do with science fiction or fandom pursuits so I don't have the time I used to have to indulge in hobbies and I had a run of bad luck with my computer. But now that the technical problems are finally resolved, I've been able to get some new vids completed.

Adobe Premiere is my video editor. Thanks to an educator discount and a spiffy rebuilt computer I went overboard and splurged on the Adobe CS5 Master Collection... so I'm in the process of learning how to integrate After Effects, Photoshop, and all the many other bells and whistles with Premiere to improve my vids.

I enjoy watching other folks vids because I so often see a new technique that I want to try out myself or hear new music. Fandoms are communities and I believe we should support each other which is why I always try to make time to comment on the vids I watch -- it's the only way I have to say thank you to the vidders that provide me with so much entertainment and inspiration.
