Thanks to a 1971 Jet Magazine cover story featuring John Amos and Teresa Graves which I came across years ago, I've always wanted to see this show. It may be a bit dated, but it still beats some of the shit that's on tv now.

Why wasn't I hearing this shit on the radio when this song was released???? This is off the chain. Thank God for Sirius XM Radio!

@therehastobeme: NO, NO, NO...I totally disagree. Bobby Miller reworked the hell out the arrangements for both "Stay In My Corner" and "Oh! What a Night. The Cadet recordings are the definitive versions without question.

@205Buck: Then both of y'all are gonna hate me, but I like The Valentinos 1973 version best (of course, Bobby Womack produced that version too and the arrangement is basically the same as his version..go figure).

I have to admit, I do like this version. It sure as hell is nowhere NEAR as good as the original by Queen Aretha...but Diana does a pretty decent job.

@fyredragon5270: I'm right there with you on that. This was the version that I use to hear on the radio when the song was out. Imagine my extreme disappointment when I purchased the "Meant to be Mint" cd and this was NOT the version on it. Still a little bitter about that to this day.

I normally don't care for people's cover version videos on YouTube and usually don't give them the time of day. This is one of those rare moments when I have to say I am totally impressed with this version of this R&B classic. Very nice. Also have to mention that the singer is FINE AS HELL!

@ByrowNeius: I would have to agree. I like the version by MFSB on the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack, but something about this one I like much better.
