Its a pretty good bike for starters. I went from my 230 to a crf250r in less than a couple months. It wasnt enough "Power". The crf230 weighs around 270 pounds with a full talk of gas, where as the crf250 weighs about 220 with a full tank of gas. The 230 wouldnt do so well on the track/jumps.
