For 29 years we have fought for those experiencing homelessness. We have fought to get the services that help people get off the street and back into their lives. We have fought the criminalization of those experiencing homelessness as a way to reduce their visibility in our parks and on our sidewalks. We have fought the policies that encourage the demolition of our low-income housing. And, we fight to continue to provide those services.

In our city, where they like their service providers quiet and complacent, we don't "go along to get along." That costs us public money, but we know that the only route to change is through fighting the systems in place and asking the tough questions.

Behold, the hire of the laborers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth. James 5:4

While listening to one of the conference calls Dennis Lee boasted about having permission to steal. Sadly to say this permission came from a government official. Also, organizations draw up contracts to control the commission generated by the employees which is very unfair to the laborers. This kind of treatment belittles or devalues an individual.
