Its the A-10A Thunderbolt II aka The Warthog. The "Hell Fire" missiles are actually AGM-65 Mavericks. I was assigned to the A-10s a while ago.

@hogsandhercs Also, if a U-2 pilot was flying low (under 50,000 feet. Usually a fairy flight) they would fly in their flight suits and low flight helmets.

He also helped establish the Air Force first Parachute training course in the 1950s.

Awesome footage. I miss seeing the P-3s and the wash rack. Grew up with my grandparents and my grandfather was retired Air Force. He worked at NASA Ames with the U-2s and the ER-2s there. Years later I was stationed at Moffett with the 129th. I know those hangars well! Thanks for sharing!!!!

I was never in the Navy. I was an Air Force guy but I have a few friends who worked on the Tomcat and this video gives me chills just watching it. Seen the Tomcat fly many of times and it never got old. God Bless the Tomcat and her crews for their service and sacrifice to their country.
