A friend of mine was murdered in 1992. My best friend and I were the last two people to see him alive the afternoon that it happened. That afternoon, he dedicated this song to me. Listening to it now, (Especially the chorus) I feel like he knew he was going to die that night. :( R.I.P Mark.

It is not considered a hymn as far as I know. It is actually considered a choral piece.

I grew up singing this hymn at my old church and am begging my new church to add it into their Easter repertoire. THis is a great Easter hymn. Thank you @Isbaptist
