I was a C-130 AC and IP almost 50 years ago. I was also Jump Qualified, so I spent a lot of time with these guys. They accepted me, because of my Jump Wings and- even more- because od my background as a Forest Service Smokejumper. These guys are pros. Smart, Cool, Low Key... Like most Spec Op...

As a former Smokejumper I've heard most of the versions of this great song and, as a musician, I consider this one of the very best. I don't think it should go any slower, but- as Black Irish says- it is a dirge and the tempo is appropriate.
