Ann Blyth Ann Blyth is best remembered for playing the role of Joan Crawford's daughter, Veda, in "Mildred Pierce". However, that was only the beginning of her career. She would go on to star in many more films through the 1940s and 50s and then continue working on TV. She starred in such films as "The Great Caruso" opposite Mario Lanza; "The World In His Arms" with Gregory Peck; and "Thunder On The Hill" with Claudette Colbert.
