Cream - White Room --- In the white room with black curtains near the station. Blackroof country, no gold pavements, tired starlings. Silver horses ran down moonbeams in your dark eyes. Dawnlight smiles on you leaving, my contentment.
Ill wait in this place where the sun never shines; Wait in this place where the shadows run from themselves.
You said no strings could secure you at the station. Platform ticket, restless diesels, goodbye windows. I walked into such a sad time at the station. As I walked out, felt my own need just beginning.
Ill wait in the queue when the trains come back; Lie with you where the shadows run from themselves.
At the party she was kindness in the hard crowd. Consolation for the old wound now forgotten. Yellow tigers crouched in jungles in her dark eyes. Shes just dressing, goodbye windows, tired starlings.
Ill sleep in this place with the lonely crowd; Lie in the dark where the shadows run from themselves.

Original Columbia Records #43396
Debut 11/20/65 Peaked at #1 for two weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Written by Paul Simon Produced by Tom Wilson
From the Columbia LP "Wednesday Morning 3 A.M."
This is the "electric version" where Columbia Records took the original acoustic version as recorded by Simon & Garfunkel originally, and then added additional electric instruments including both a lead & bass guitar.
This electric version helped make this Simon & Garfunkel's first major hit!
This is also the original HOT MONO MIX that sounds much more powerful and superior compared to the very common thin, wimpy stereo version that is heard all the time on oldies radio.
Channel WABCRADIO77 is a proud supporter of the "Oldies Message Board" found at this link: http://www.oldies... If you like oldies music, then please check out the message board, for that is where many oldies fans are "hanging out" and posting lots of cool stuff about the music you love!

Original Elektra Records #45615 45 RPM Vinyl
Debut 6/3/67 Peaked at #1 for THREE weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Flip side: "The Crystal Ship"
Written by: The Doors Produced by Paul A. Rothchild Engineered by Bruce Botnick Published by Nipper Music (ASCAP)
This is the definative HOT MONO MIX, that you cannot get anywhere else, except from the original vinyl 45 RPM record! This is also the SHORT version at 2:52, which was cut short for AM radio air play. The 7 minute version would have never been played on AM radio, so therefore, would never have been a hit. Who knows what would have happened to The Doors had this short version had never been made?!
The record that I play is known as the Elektra Girl version, and it is the FIRST pressing of "Light My Fire", and is harder to find.
The first record that I show, is still original, but is the more common second pressing.
Both pressings are from when the record was released in 1967.
iTunes DOES have this short version as a "Digital 45" - LOOK FOR IT!
Ok fans of Channel WABCRADIO77, this is a test of a WMG record in response to the below story:
From the YouTube blog: Warner Music Comes Back to YouTube
Music Licensing: It's complicated. Let's face it. But today all of that is beside the point: we are happy to announce that Warner Music Group (WMG)'s artists are returning home to YouTube. Under this new, multi-year global agreement, you will be able to discover, watch and share Warner music on the site. The partnership covers the full Warner catalog and includes user-generated content containing WMG acts. With Warner on board, we now have artists from all four of the major music labels & publishers together with hundreds of indie labels and publishers on our platform. Warner will also be able to sell their own ad inventory and will use our Content ID technology to claim and monetize user-generated videos uploaded to YouTube by Warner Music fans. The partnership is based on a revenue share generated from the ads on the videos, and this makes good business sense for everyone involved: artists and labels can make money from their videos and the YouTube community gets to enjoy them.
But enough talk... let's get back to the rock. Warner's videos will begin appearing on YouTube in the near future.
Chris Maxcy, Director of YouTube Partner Development

Original Atlantic Records #2690.
Debut 11/22/1969 and peaked at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart.
Also #75 on the Rolling Stone Magazine Greatest Songs of All Time http://www.rollin...
This is a FIRST Pressing, as it features the full length of this great tune that sounds it's best played in it's original HOT mono mix form! Later versions had the record shortened by over 2 minutes from this original 5:33 minute version.
This is the original mono mix as heard when this was a huge hit on AM Top 40 radio on stations like WABC New York.
