Mike Salomon, choreographer, has been interested in cultural vacuum for a long time. To him, failures in cultural policy and unrecognized free spaces are motivation and challenge at the same time.
To activate and occupy areas, giving art room and room art, are his credos.
As initiator and energy source of many art productions, exhibitions, and festivals, he knows how to use impulses and motivate and captivate people.
For his last project, the international art exhibition OSTRALE, Mike Salomon received the Dresden Advancement Award 2009.

Der Choreograf Mike Salomon, beschäftigt sich schon seit längerem mit dem kulturellen Vakuum. Kulturpolitische Versäumnisse und nicht erkannte Freiräume sind für ihn Motivation und spannende Herausforderung zugleich.
Räume nutzen und beleben, der Kunst Raum und dem Raum Kunst geben sind sein Credo. Als Initiator und Energieträger zahlreicher Kunstproduktionen, Ausstellungen und Festivals weiß er den Impuls zu nutzen sowie Leute zu motivieren und faszinieren.
Mike Salomon erhielt für sein letztes Projekt, die internationale Kunstausstellung OSTRALE, den Kunstförderpreis der Landeshauptstadt Dresden 2009.
