I've just seen a video of the hoodoos in Chiricahua National Park, Arizona USA. The music used was wrong, I thought, and my mind immediately thought of this piece. No other piece seems powerful enough for Mother Nature's visual imagery.

I beg to differ on whether 'commercial aircraft' would have lack of power to abort a landing like this. Though Concorde makes it look spectacular and unbeatable, any of the heavies can do this when it's necessary. And....Concorde was 'commercial aircraft'.

The thing I find disturbing about this is that the kitten isn't allowed to catch the "prey" and that makes for a frustrated cat. Also, the kitten shouldn't be allowed to grab and bite at the hand. I suspect this kitten will turn into a pretty touchy adult cat.

In time for Easter, I've watched and listened to these amazing young people whose voices and demeanors seem to embody what rebirth of spirit might be. I'm so thankful that there is still goodness, striving, kindness in the world. It shows in Libera's eyes as they sing.

I agree with the comment about playing this piece too fast. Christina Ortiz plays it superbly, more slowly, and with greater feeling, I think.

"Black Swan" made me aware (after all these year of using the phrase) what SWAN SONG means. I thought the movie was well done, if a bit off of the theme, though that's how it brought so many of us back to appreciation of the movie, perhaps.

Dudes, the plane was sublime. Well made and well engineered. There's no way to foresee what debris might be on a runway, however. This plane was engineered to the nth degree. The God of planes was still brought down by the detritus of human error.
