I recommend reading:
"Don't Sleep, There Are Snakes" by Daniel Everett, to view the ethical standards/culture of South America, and how entraced Everett became with them.
--
"Washed By Blood" by Brian Welch, a former member of Korn who survived a hard drug habit and his culture through faith is astounding. It's one of many stories, but I find his telling to be brutally honest, without boasting.

He had made three replies to my comments, so I was actually going to respond his statements - the claim that Jesus was created by God and that can God rest?
So I click post comment, and sure enough: "You have been blocked by the owner of this video."
I'm not surprised, yet amazed. He knows his points can be responded to, but doesn't have the truth to counter with.
When you block, that's simply running away. So it goes.
"Highwind, don't type [comment] on my f---ing video. I'll block your f---ing ass."
Wow.
Definitely wow.
He can comment on my channel page. A guy right below skewered me for presuming the majority of Nazis were Catholics. I don't mind being corrected, and I can deal with false accusation. I just have to post a comment of my take on something and that's it.
I'll try to post my rebuttal here later.
He basically said: "No physicist ever said the universe came into existence out of nothing."
I pointed he should have said none that he happens to know about, and that Victor Stenger did in his book "God: The Failed Hypothesis".
I can easily produce the quotes. Anyone who bothers to read that book is going to see it.
I'm posting the comment here because he deleted his vid, and so it's up here.
It's pretty sad it happened, but I'm not surprised. Anyway, on it goes.
The idea is: "Oh, there's a little glitch here, so it must be all false."
It would be a response video to NSC, but I would basically talk about how none of his points prove that Jesus is not God. I'd talk about how the Gospels are historical documents and talk about "inspiration" and "God breathed" mean, at least to me.
It is not something that should be enforced or even tried among non-believers. I have no liking for Victorian-era type thinking. But the Bible shows us much different illustrations - Isaac or Rebekah, Abraham and Sarah, Jacob and Rachel, David and Abigail and Bathsheba. We notice really different dynamics, where the husband bends his knee to her as kindly as Jesus washed the feet of His own disciples. It's not a Muslim marriage. Huge difference in the Bible.
I'm commenting here because I'm blocked on Voodoosixxx's channel.
When Jesus spoke with the woman at the well who had multiple husbands and was living with (fornicating, basically) with a man not her husband, Jesus didn't demand some legal penalty on her. When Jesus saves the adulteress from being stoned...
You know, this just needs a video. I am so sick of how people disregard what Jesus actually said to do and invent ways to bully people that no apostle did.
Noticed that you're avoiding the falsification question. Quelle surprise.
