Looks like a 455 Koehring. Takes a real operator to run this rig! Not no wus joysticks these controls were air over hydraulic.To carry grade with these old rigs was a bitch. It took lots of practice in order to do it.

I oiled for my dad on one of these machines in 73&74. Air over hydraulic controls. Needed a 6 cylinder instead of a 4. Didn't have much power, but could move alot of dirt. Where is this rig and when was this filmed?

Most pile hydraulic pile driving rigs I've seen turn over were not on mats. These rigs are very top heavy with the hammer and pile in the air. These rigs also need to close to level.

This is not a crane, it's a man lift, used for working in high places where a scaffold may not be useful.

This operator is good. Listen, how quiet those chains on the bucket are. You can hardly hear the rattle. Also watch the spreader bat on top of the bucket, It hardly ever hits the top of the bucket. He is smooth and has no wasted motion.

As a operator I'm watching how smooth this guy is and I have to say, he's very good and efficient at operating this piece of fine iron.
