Re your interpretation of my current bg- that's interesting!
I see a religious zealot yelling "Allahu akbar"! It could as well be a (self proclaimed) 'Evangelist' waving his hands in the air and doing the turkey trot or a Catholic Nun going ape in a crowd as the pope hits the spotlight.
I have good friends from different religions who mercifully don't fully abide by their 'holy' books, otherwise I'd be mincemeat :-/

I'm greatly inspired by Jacob Bronowski's 'Ascent of Man'; I've never come across anything comparable. It's a series which puts us into perspective as a species and at least goes some way to reveal the true nature of science. I believe it a masterpiece. Bronowski has a unique and somewhat profound way of highlighting events in history which served as decisive steps forward in our ascent. He points out our failings too...that we ignore history's hard earned lessons at our peril.

To err is human, to forgive pointless.
