This is essentially what you get if you mix 1970s Dr Who and too much money. I love K-9, but the remake just doesn't have the "thrown together" vibe that the rest of the Whoniverse has - it's too slick, which stops it being believable. They've thrown money at a good, but outdated, series in order...
