A.K.A. "WARRIOR POET" A.K.A "AL BARZ" A.K.A "ALKALINE is straight from the street's of South Florida. This explosive Cuban lyricist was raised in the 305. He has been doing his thing for over a decade on the mic. Collide says "All aspects of Hip-Hop (DJs, MCs, Breakers, and Graffiti writers) were enormously popular in Miami, and impacted me at a young and impressionable age.Now living in both miami & tampa,Collide has dropped several street demos, & in 2003,he combined with a indie record company to form a classic album "Inside the Monster."which they sold 5,000 copies locally,and got alot of radio play in tampa,fl.HIGHCOLLIDE has also won several MC battles across the gun-shaped state,Collide took the title at Battle Basics 3, held onto the title at Battle Basics 4 and smoked everyone at BB7.Then in 2006,he was featured by underground legend CELPH TITTLED on a track called "Aint Seen it Comin" which was released Nation-Wide and became an instant classic for HipHop Headz Worldwide.!Then in the 4th quarter of 2006 HIGHCOLLIDE was at the wrong place at the wrong time,and was stabbed,and had to be rushed by helicopter and almost died at the same hospital HIGHCOLLIDE was born at!.Then in 07' HIGHCOLLIDE was involved in a work related injury where a double-wide fell on,and,crushed highcollide.He fractured all his ribs,had a slight fracture in his neck,and fractured 3 vertabrates in his spine!He was paralyzed for weeks and told he might not walk again. After a painfull and slow recovery Highcollide fought hard, to not be denied, & able to walk again.Then after a long,2 year,hard road of recovery HIGHCOLLIDE started to make his comeback with his debut battle on GRINDTIME rap battle league.where he has skyrocketed thru the rankings,with big wins and has compiled a undefeated record,currently 6-0.With his latest victory making him the 1ST EVER "GRIND TIME" CHAMPION! ALSO,HIGHCOLLIDE began his independant record company,CHIEFHEADZ@
From homeless on the streets, incarcarations, and trauma, HIGHCOLLIDE is a living example,of how music can change youre life for the better. "When you're on top of your game, people wanna throw stones at the throne, tell lies, spread rumors, and deceive. Its important to be honest," Collide told the Staff.
