Leontyne Price sang the role of the New Prioress several times. I wish that she had recorded Blanche just because of her vocal storytelling ability.

Even in the presence of those two towering divas it takes your whole life and your whole being to be in that moment like that. Ella, Leontyne, Aretha, Oprah, the Spirit speaks through amazing vessels.
