About Highlands & Islands Enterprise
Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) is a non-departmental public body (NDPB) of the Scottish Government with a unique remit which integrates economic and community development.
Active across more than half of Scotland, from Shetland to Argyll and from the Hebrides to Moray, HIE pursues four key priorities to achieve sustainable growth:
- Supporting businesses and social enterprises to shape and realise their growth aspirations
- Strengthening communities and fragile areas
