I believe that this is the way the song was meant to be sang - the way Etta would've sang it. I love it when this singer just lets her talent flow and doesn't ruin a performance by coming off as a prostitute as so many other female singers seem to need to (and no, I'm not talking about Beyonce').

I seem to recall that this show was popular no matter who was playing Captain Marvel, so I doubt if it was John Davey who killed the series, but more likely network executives. For my money I preferred Jackson Bostwick, though, for some reason, Davey got more screen time in the shows he was in.

It's kind of sad to watch the highlights of a game like this and realize that it was the last game ever played for the old NASL.
