I agree sebbimon! Branch and Ronnie have trained at Metroflex almost there entire career and the place has no air or heat. With this kind of insane intensity I think most guys would fail! lol I would like think I'm hardcore, but this is on another level.

I seen Greg for the first time at the Arnold Classic in 03 I think and was blown away by how big he was. Not appeasingly big, but I seriously think just the width of his traps had to be 32 inches. lol

I have had the pleasure of seeing Vince on several occasions at 3rd & Lindlsey in downtown Nashville and he's the coolest and most talented guy in a live setting. Vince Gill with Brent Mason and The Players live=Heaven!

These comments are all pretty ridiculous! I met Jenny and her father Vince one night at 3rd and Lindsley in Nashville in Nov of 09. They were both very friendly and kind and Vince did a song with the Players in front of about 45 awestruck people like myself. Very kind, talented and down to earth...

I have had the pleasure seeing The Players at 3rd and Lindsley downtown nashville on several occasions and for any musician it is such a treat to see these guys in a small venue and share a drink and check out their equipment. WOW, it just never gets old!!

@musicalgary Yes,I was at 3rd & Lindsley one eve last Nov listening to him and the players and I am sure he had an old silver face2x12 Twin reverb and had it stereoed into a newer 4x10 deville. Small pedal board for that size gig too, but clearly sounding amazing!!

Went from a sweet version of 'Amazing grace' right into a gospel praise break. lol Loved it!!

I am only 29, but I grew up on this music every service and I sure miss it!! Every band and group I have played guitar for has been contemporary, but I am going to start looking for some of the older fellas to start playing with. Thanks for another great post! I love your style.

Wow!! I have been playing guitar for many years, but I think I will just throw it out the window and start practicing keys!! As much as I have tried to get this song down with many guitar influences it still sounds better on piano. Awesome post!! Thanks

@bingefeller The last time I was at 3rd and Lindsley back in the fall of 09 Brent Mason introduced Sol as the "best guitarist in the world under 30" !! That's who Sol Philcox is and I don't think he is even 21 yet. lol
