About Me:

Hey, I'm Henry! I'm only 16, and if you haven't already noticed I'm OBSESSED with Joni Mitchell...(the greatest musician of all time!) Sadly, I cannot play her music...(I'm a violinist), but I enjoy watching others sing her music.
I am pretty much a Joni Mitchell encyclopedia so if you have any questions make sure you message me. I'm always glad to hear your feedback!
Everyone of the videos you see here is from my personal collection on my computer! I also possess the bare audio (mp3s) files of all of these recordings. So just ask if you're interested.
Finally, I was also thinking of starting another youtube account based on the music of Joan Baez...so message me if you guys think I should.

Go to my myspace: www.myspace.com/henhenstoll for another Joni-related website.

***Also, If you own any Joni Mitchell videos I would be ECSTATIC to be able to receive them! My e-mail is henhenstoll@gmail.com and thanks a lot!

I first listened to Joni as a teenager in the late '60's, and through the '70's. I listen to a lot of old music on youtube but just came across her videos a few days ago. I had never seen her perform. I was awed! She is so beautfully and brilliantly talented! Those videos of her when she was in her early 20's are absolutely precious. She was a seasoned musician and greatly talented even then. She is so demure, and at the same time exudes cheerfulness and confidence. She is obviuously very intelligent and has a complex personality. She played a major role in shaping our young culture through her music. That music is just as fresh and timely as it was so long ago. She was then, and still is a musical treasure revered the world over.

I love that you are young, a musician and obsesssed with Joni. What a great obsession! I am totally in love with her too..... She helped me understand things about life... I don't know how she was able to have such insight at such a young age.... I would love more of her wisdom... I'd like her to sing with all that honesty she's capable of about her current stage of life... I'd like to know if she feels she knows more... or less... about life and love???? Thank you so much Henry. Keep up your music... it's one of life's good things.

My hardcore Joni phase lasted from 19-30 and here I am 34, still in love. Been listening to her since I was a baby. I learned many of her songs and tunings on guitar and some on piano. I will always be in love with Joni and her gifts that she gave to us. Thanks Henry for some of these great videos. And thank you Joni for so much.

Divine, she's an angel on earth! Her twin Jaco, is already in Paradise, but before he left he gave us a taste of Paradise playing with her... and everytime I listen to them... especially in "Don Juan Reckless daughter"'s "Talk to me", I can feel that... God bless

Joni Mitchell takes over 15 square feet on my livingroom wall,75% of my music listening,50% of my vocabulary
and one of the only things I'll miss when I leave this world. If I knew the bible as well as her words...I'd be a
theologian."We live vicariously through our artists." Joni Mitchell VIVA LAMORE!

wow. thanks henry! this is a treasure trove of rare joni. especially love her duets with johnny cash. wish she'd do a country album.
as for not being able to play her music on violin, listen to christopher o'reilly's piano interpretations of radiohead songs. then listen to the originals. bet it would inspire you. start with just the vocal melodies.

Greetings Henry, If by chance you come across a recording of Joni's songs "Conversation",
"Ladies of the Canyon" and "The Arrangement" - would very much appreciate if you would forward me a copy. I've loved her music forever - starting with "Songs to a Seagull". Have really enjoyed your hard work and dedication to preserving Joni's music. Thank you & *PeacE* Chris.
