This lovely friend of mine worked as a Chiropractic assistant and she helped many people with therapy to alleviate their pain. She bumped into one man years later who was a former patient from that office and they became casual friends. This man helped her with some things normal women can't do alone, like putting up hurricane shutters. Over time she felt as though he was a nice Guy and she trusted him. She lost touch with him and hadn't heard from him for three years until one evening when there was a knock at her door.
The friend showed up at her house late at night, and not thinking any harm she welcomes her friend into her home to see how he has been. Well, they catch up and he shows her some pictures on his Laptop Computer. While she is distracted looking at the slideshow he put a gun to her head and told her to put her face down on the couch and said that he isn't going to hurt her and she won't feel a thing...... in shock and disbelief she prays to God in her mind for help and turns around to confront him to make eye contact. She says what are you doing? I am your friend, God bless you ,why are you doing this? Afraid she runs out the door and makes it out only to get two bullets in her back and, in the course of his getaway, he drives over her intentionally with his SUV and turns the steering wheel while on her Abdomen! Just missing her ribs and upper body she is still conscious and now paralyzed. After he drives off she screams for help, and a minute later he comes back to pick up the Bullet casings and drag her bloodied body across the driveway to hide her behind the bushes and leave her to die. The evidence and rape kit recovered showed he plotted to rape and torture her before he was going to murder her, but his plan failed and she survived. He was caught and received a Life sentence without the possibility of parole.
