Hellbreath is a brazilian metalcore band from Rio de Janeiro. After the dissolution of the band Motorbreath in early 2007, Hellbreath was founded by vocalist Flávio Azevedo and guitarrists Samyr Novelli and Dudu Garcia, while bassist Fernando Igne and drummer João Paulo Reis joined soon after. Their influences range from death to thrash metal. Hellbreath was already a part of the Headbangers Metal Reunion - Metal Compilation Vol. 1 CD soon after their first show with the song "Deathmatch" which was embraced by critics. In January of 2008, the band released its first five track independent EP called "Demomatch". One month later, the band won a music festival at 7ª Festival Coletânea de Bandas in Rio and incredibly was the first metal band to win up to date. By the end of 2008, Hellbreath launched their first single called Fight To Die from their upcoming EP "Captivity Of Babylon", which will be released in February/March '09.

Hellbreath é uma banda brasileira da cidade do Rio de Janeiro. Com um som que abrange técnicas, peso e riffs marcantes, misturam uma base inquestionável do metalcore com influências do death e thrash metal. Seus principais temas abordam questionamentos e indignações a uma série de assuntos, como por exemplo, a religião e a guerra. Formada em 2007 por Flávio Azevedo (vocal), Dudu Garcia (guitarra) e Samyr Novelli (guitarra). Pouco tempo após sua formação, a banda fez parte da primeira edição da coletânea Headbangers Metal Reunion - Metal Compilation Vol. 1 com a música Deathmatch com grande repercussão e destaque segundo a crítica especializada. Em janeiro de 2008, logo após a entrada do baterista João Paulo Reis, a Hellbreath finaliza seu primeiro EP com cinco faixas, intitulado Demomatch (uma alusão à música "Deathmatch"). Em fevereiro, é a vez de Fernando Igne assumir o baixo e da banda participar da 7ª Festival Coletânea de Bandas etapa Rio de Janeiro, sendo a primeira participante tocando metal a sair vencedora obtendo divulgação no jornal "O Globo" e assim, conseguindo cada vez mais espaço e reconhecimento no cenário. No final de 2008, a Hellbreath lança o single Fight To Die como prévia do segundo EP independente, lançado em 2009, intitulado "Captivity Of Babylon".
