Born and raised in Los Angeles, Heather Black has been acting her entire life. And not just like a free-spirited woman, but like an actor. Ya. A really funny actor who makes people laugh a lot.
Heather has been involved with acting since the age of 18 months, when she was first cast as a little boy in a Mc Donald's commercial. And at three years old, she felt like she had something to front about. "I was 3 and telling people I'm going to be an Actress when I grow up." And she is.
Heather Black continued down her acting path by performing in elementary school plays and at the local community theater.
High school led her family to move to Agoura Hills for the chance at a better education, and less L.A. High school crime. In Agoura, Heather excelled at Theatre, taking every class available and shining in the school plays. At the age of 16, Heather stole her first show..."The Nigh of January 16th". Heather says, "It was amazing. The unbridled connection I felt with the audience... for the first time. An extreme character focus let me forget completely who I was, and the comedy that I felt was pouring out over the room...and as performances went on, I could hear the audience whisper that I would be coming to the stage soon....And that's when I knew. That Acting was a viable career choice for me."
College took Heather to Hawaii, where beautiful palm trees were a plenty, but rewarding theatre teachers were few. And so home she came, back to L.A., where beautiful palm trees were plenty, and actors there were many.. and years have gone bye, and performances have flown high, but money for funny runs few...
