AEDC - Anchorage Economic Development Corporation

The Anchorage Economic Development Corporation is a private, non-profit corporation operating since 1987. It exists to encourage growth and diversity in the Anchorage economy.

The AEDC is charged with being a catalyst for "diversified economic development." The corporation takes a holistic view of this charge, given that Anchorage's economy is tremendously affected by business conditions throughout all of Alaska. Nearly one in nine Anchorage jobs depends on doing business with the rest of the state. Although viable business opportunities exist outside (and are aggressively pursued), prospects here in Alaska also offer excellent economic development opportunities.
