Heart of War was formed in late 2006 by cousins Konrad and Dan Dennis, with Konrad on guitars and Dan behind the drums. In order to complete their line-up, they recruited bassist, Jutt Bylina, and guitarist and older cousin, Dave Morrow. After months of practice with no vocalist, Konrad took on the role of lead vocals, with Jutt and Dan on backing vocals. Since they started playing shows in July of 2007, Heart of War has opened for national acts such as Death Angel, God Forbid, Wednesday 13 and many others. In early 2009, both Dave and Jutt quit the band because of musical differences. Heart of War currently seeks a new bassist and guitarist. On July 29, 2009, Heart of War released their debut EP, The New Age.
