Nursing Experiences
About Me:

Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/hone...

I am a nurse and love it. I enjoy talking with my peers and friends about nursing. So, I decided to discuss my stories with the world to hopefully exchange stories and share commonalities. I also, want to inspire people to throw themselves into the crazy, chaotic, but adventurous world of nursing.

hi heather! i just wanna ask that u've been a nurse for so long, what is the most toxic situation had u encountered?

Your videos are good, but you tend to veer off topic sometimes, like the baking cookies part (I know you were tryin to be cute, but it was annoying honestly). Just be yourself. I am in pre-nursing school right now, and girls that look like you are the only reason I am choosing this profession....well that and the money :)

Hey! I am a recent LVN grad and currently working at an assisted living facility. Yesterday was actually my 1st time working on the floor as a nurse. I was in charged of 2 floors which consists of approximately 80+ residents. I was seriously about to loose my mind. I didn't take a break because my med pass were not done plus there was an emergency, in which I had to notify the MD, family, and the nursing director. I guess my concerns are:
1. How can I speed up my med passes to 80+ residents?
2. Is having 80+ resident normal in an assisted living?
3. This is my 1st official job as a nurse, is it normal to feel uneasy after working for only a day on the floor?

DO YOU HAVE ANY TIPS AND OR SUGGESTIONS.

THANKS!!!

I am currently wanting to enroll in nursing school. I am a mother of a 3 year old and work full time. What advice would you have in order to keep a balance and be sucessful in nursing school while still working?? Also, how do you know until you are actually in nursing school that you aren't going to pass out when you go to do your first IV? LOL! Love your videos btw! :)
