I love this rendition of this piece. Carolyn Sampson's voice is more robust than Kathleen Battle's or Rosemary Joshua's but not so much so that it weighs down the song the way Cecilia Bartoli's voice did.
Don't misunderstand. Normally I love Cecilia's work but 'Semele' was a bad choice for her.
