Here's a fun thing to try. I'm going to discuss how to apply geometric figures and shapes to music. Now this video will be great for you poly-rhythmic and independence enthusiasts, who are always looking for a new challenge or a mere test of your incredible skills.
You can think of this as one of many unconventional ways of approaching the drum set. You may have even done this already and not noticed you were making polygon shapes with your hands. But again this is just another fun way to bend your mind some more.
So some things I'm going to do are, doing three hits around the drum set in a triangular pattern and then do either the same thing with my other hand or something different and then we'll mix it up. Like changing directions, tempo, and adding your feet and even adding ostinatos underneath.
Have fun.
And i know its hard to hear me, just turn up your volume up really high haha.
