Micah Layne Biography

Micah Layne is a freelance flutist who is currently studying with John Barcellona at The Bob Cole Conservatory in Long Beach California. Known to be a flutist of very unique tastes, Micah has been seen collaborating with a variety of groups and artists in Southern California. An avid performer of contemporary music, he has participated with such groups as the CSULB New Music Ensemble, and has had several pieces dedicated to him. He has performed with the Bob Cole Conservatory orchestra, The Pierre Monteux Orchestra and has had various performances at venues such as the Terrace Theater and MOLA. Recognized as a rising conductor and teacher, Micah Layne continually searches for new sounds and ways to explore new musical lanscapes.
