I started playing about three years ago. I was(and still am) really into Coheed and Cambria then, and based my drumming technique off of their drummer Josh Eppard, who plays open handed (keeping time with the left hand, with the ride and hi-hat on the left side). It's always appealed to me a lot better.
You'll probably find me spouting about how double bass pedals are lame, and get exaggerated too much, which is why I play with a single.
