I was born Herbert F. Mound on September 18th, 1957 and, like my father and his father before him etc, I am an unrecognised songwriter. After an unfinished attempt at my first song, a song called "How Many Times" in July, 1973, I began writing songs regularly from April, 1974 onwards. However, the vast majority of these have gone unheard and I feel it's time that some of them finally saw the light of day before, as they say, it's too late. TRIVIA --- On a KEFW school expedition in the summer of 1971, I accidentally fell into an accumulation of partially decayed and carbonised vegetable matter and was thereafter known by the nickname of 'Peat' to school friends. This got mistaken by others for 'Pete', and as I grew older people naturally began to assume my name was Peter. I needed a surname to go with it, so I threw a dart out of my window and decided that I would take the name of the person it hit. It hit a bloke called Anderson, but I didn't fancy that name and so, for no particular reason, I chose the name Eckersley instead. p.s. This profile is a bit of a spoof in 1 or 2 places, so don't take all of it too seriously. But please take the important bits very seriously! Thank you for reading thus far...
About Me:

I had a sister 10 years older so I got into Cliff and the Beatles etc from a very early age and had my first record when I was 4. Because Jane got Cliff's "The Young Ones" LP for Christmas in 1961, I wanted a record too, and so to shut me up my mother took me to the record shop a few days later and I chose "Don't Bring Lulu" by Dorothy Provine. A few weeks later my collection had risen to 3, with "A Little Bitty Tear" by Miki and Griff and "What a Crazy World We're Livin' In" by Joe Brown & the Bruvvers.

This Hemmingway 63 - I have been trying to trace Graham Jennings for 2 years, and on Friday last I was a Concert down here in Cornwall, and I met Billy Kinsey of The Mersey Beats, I mentioned the name Graham Jennings, one of the group said never heard of him . . . but when I said "Chick Graham" Billys ears pricked up . . . Now there is a name from the past. But I have been informed he went back to The Channel Islands, where he is supposed to have come from at a very young age, and is or was a Nurse in The Mental Field. If true, well perhaps the Health Service of The Channel Islands could help. Great site, best of luck with the Song writing . . . C.M.

Always great to come across a Beatles fan(your comment on George Harrison's great solo track "You")

Hey, thanks for the comment on the Just For Today video.

I agree. The piano in parts of the song sounds very similar to Imagine. Don't know if you like Sting, but I did a video similar to that one to the tune of "Fields of Gold." If you want, check it out. I did one to "In My Life" as well. Feel free to check them out. Take care.

Thanks
Marc
