Be Someone
Our story began in 1961 when Hattie Larlham, a registered nurse, reached out to help a little girl with disabilities. Frustrated, she asked her family: "Why doesn't someone do something?" Her son answered her question with his own: "Aren't we somebody?"
Since then, we've met countless people eager to be someone who supports people with disabilities. Some work at Hattie Larlham; others volunteer. Some make donations and some host events. Others shop our online store. But there is one common thing they all do--they believe in what we do.
