If the EDL love the British working-class so much, why do they lump trade unionists in with communists and Islamists?
And if they hate anti-semites so much, what will they do when they find out kosher slaughter is just as cruel as halal slaughter? After all, it's exactly the same thing.
@Suprkit - that's just the point. The ad dates not from 1956 but from 1952, when the war was still on. There was no chance of restarting hostilities after peace came in 1953, for the war was incredibly unpopular at home (much as would happen with Vietnam later on).
I particularly like the constant low drone of "for president" in the background.. maybe intended to get through subliminally to people who were not 'really' watching the set?
@nauort23 - I remember reading somewhere that there was an alternative version which featured heavy guitars and lots of screaming, and EC rejected it but kept those two parts to bookend his preferred version. It might have something to do with the 'Cubist' album sleeve, because Cubism is supposed...
The second half is much better than the first.
