extracts from amakuki sesan's commentary of hakuin's song of meditation, delivered originally over kyoto radio in the 30's, translated by trevor leggit, narrated by me :)
this is chapter four, dealing with two lines from the original poem dealing with giving
as you may appreciate, this kind of material is more of a verbal thing and doesn't require visuals... you can listen to it with headphones by uploading an mp3 from: http://www.2020worldpeace.org/audiophiles/audiophiles.html and checking out internal peace - buddhism
stick it on your ipod... it's great

the six vagra verses --
the nature of phenomena is non-dual but each one, its own state, is beyond the limits of the mind
there is no concept that can define the condition of what is but vision nevertheless manifests all is good
everything has already been accomplished and so having overcome the sickness of effort one finds oneself in the self-perfected state
this is contemplation
______________________ alternative translation (from comments, gurugeorge):
(Keith Dowman's):
The nature of multiplicity is nondual and things in themselves are pure and simple; being here and now is thought-free and it shines out in all forms, always all good; it is already perfect, so the striving sickness is avoided and spontaneity is constantly present.

sounds a bit formal, and it is
with high-tango it is imperative that both partners combine not only in body, but with their minds... the union occurs when the mutual awareness of both join, whether it is at the high balancing point that both share, or the thrill of moving without conscious control, or the mutual sensation of rhythm
practice the upper body hold has to be fixed, like a fridge i was taught, and let the lower body just do what it needs to do; also, i neglected to point out, the women's left arm must rest on the man's shoulder like a cloud, with no pressure -- she is held in the embrace in her right hand and from the man's right forearm against the back of her ribcage
at first, the woman gives her weight to the man, however, if the music is good, and they allow themselves to fall together, it soon becomes indistinguishable, like spinning tops...
with this high-tango, it is difficult to stop, and after a year of enjoying myself with this, and bringing a lot of pleasure and laughter to partners, i eventually wanted to learn how to stop... and that's a bit tricky
so, the centre of balance is the womans, and the man must be sensitive to this, but this is only possible if the woman gives him her weight and stands as if on a point (see lesson 1)
one last thing: there are no mistakes in tango. if the woman apologises, feels she makes a mistake, assure her it is your fault. if you can catch the mistakes and turn them to your advantage, this is where most of the creativity comes from. not from your mind, but from the happenchance of the combination of bodies and minds making each tango unique.

take your time...
put a real buddhist monk here, and they wouldn't flinch
it was tricky for me, the noise of the oncoming wave, the unpredictable explosion as the water was driven into the small cave behind me... quite an experience
suppose could have made it shorter, or dubbed in some commentary or other, but... there is something restful about it
either you sit in a monastery up in the mountains to avoid the insects, or you sit so close to the sea, the insects don't dare come out to bite you...
kind of like self-flagellation, but nicer...
monks don't even respond automatically to loud noises and part of their training is to sit with slabs of ice on their backs without complaining... i flinched with an unexpected water drop hit my face... and i felt the back of my neck tighten in expectation or when the explosion came... these buddhists are pros... respect
