@Jshmo34 - That's a P&W R985 running 450HP. Quite rare to see one on the nose of a C-195. It's the same engine as a Howard DGA-15P, a Super Stearman, Beech Stagger Wing, and a DeHavilland DHC-2 Beaver.

I agree with Baburbabur....the BF-109 was notorious for its weak landing gear. The pilot in this video actually made a smooth landing so it isn't his fault. The gear just simply collapsed.

@JoltinDjango An educated guess (factoring in the program) here would put him at about 22-23 years old. Since this in color, it could have been shot in the early 1960's just as color TV was being promoted. That would put him at no more than about 28.
