@soulcrusher807 Except that this isn't a hip check.
A "good, clean hip check" is the use of the hip on an opponent's lower abdomen and/or pelvic region. Clipping, which is what this is, is a hit directed below the waist at a player's legs, hence the reason Shanny suspended him.
