In his piece, Video Self-Portrait (Anadigicapping: Rolleicord 1a Type 3 TLR), Scott F. Hall explores the concept of self-portrait in moving image in a form that at first appears to be static. In truth, the piece does indeed move and change: the image of the artist himself is slowly revealed and is hidden once again over the course of 3,990 frames. Hall's silent self-portrait clearly recalls the not-so-clear look of the primeval motion picture.
