FYI: The group who originally did this song was the CLC (Christian Life Center) Choir of Stockton, CA. There is a video on this site that actually shows the choir doing this song. They also did Ride on King Jesus. Another song from a different album is "Help Me Lift Him Up."

When I was growing up in Riviera Beach, Fl, during the 70s, there was a local band called "We The People." They almost did this song almost as good as James Brown. One of the lead singers was Jerry Bell, the karate expert who also sung with New Birth.
