September 29,1985, Michael Fils-gerard Alexis was brought into the world, not knowing what great talents the world had in store for him. Raised by his mother and father, growing up with one sibling who is known to him as his sister, Keisha Alexis. Family played an important role in life to me. Raised in Brooklyn, NY, on the lowest side of east Flat Bush. Attending Sheeps Head Bay High, were I was introduced into the rap game. Listening to Biggie Smalls, Busta, Jay-z, and other great ones inspired me with my own desire to write music. July 1997 was the year that I picked up my pen. Even as a child , I grew up around music. My father played all types of music. That one day changed my life, I couldnt stop focusing on writing. I was truly introduced to hip hop by my cousin Christopher Christylez Joseph, I started to have a ear for it and wanted to know more about hip hop. Given the name Yung Popz by my cousin Joey Marvelous Joseph. Yung Popz short for young popular was given to me based on my ability to interact with every body on the streets.

Different from other rappers, I plan on bringing some thing new to the plate. Being a diverse rapper my style defines the true meaning of hip hop. In the game right now there are some who got the skills, but lets be honest, talking about hoes, shoes ,clothes, money dont make hip hop. The game needs some one who would make you understand and make you feel hip hop. Not this dancing hype mess, yeah it sells but with me you will get the best of both worlds.

My main focus is to resuscitate hip hop back to life. I will be the one who you hear about who rescued hip hop from this tragedy that gave it sores.
