I am utterly disgusted by the violence and ignorance for other people's property displayed by the rioters. Why isn't there a curfew in place during the night to keep young people off the streets? Using the army would be a last resort with damaging consequences to the UK's international reputation...

It's important to defend civil rights, such as photography. Otherwise, this right will be slowly eroded. In the UK, there's been a major debate on this, with photographers facing similar challenges. Deliberately trying to destroy a new lens... Remind me, what's the point? A lot of resources were spent producing it. Why not try such a rather pointless test with a lens that's already broken? Also, check your microphone. The sound quality with all the echo is pretty bad.
